Mannaheim Kindred

Public Notice: August 8, 2009
Board of Directors Approved

We are a family-centric organization spanning many traditions and faiths. Mannaheim calls upon the Gods of the Northern Tradition (Germanic, Saxon, Norse), while providing a ritual environment that is friendly to any open-minded Pagan.

We meet twice a month for open rituals. See http://www.meetup.com/Mannaheim-Kindred/ for more infromation.

The group adheres to a policy of inclusiveness, aligning itself firmly behind the banner of "Heathens Against Hate". We whole-heartedly welcome people of all walks of life, all races, all nationalities to attend and participate.

We have a children's room with a TV, videos, toys, and kid's books so children are very welcome. Through experience, we have a few iron-clad rules that we expect parents and children to adhere to, but we do hope you'll bring them along.

Minors are allowed to attend the ritual itself under certain circumstances (discussed in advance), and young adults will be assigned a sponsor if not accompanied by a parent. For the pot luck, everybody is encouraged to bring a dish to share or just contribute a few dollars to the grill fund.

We're located just off the beltway in Springfield, VA. Please call Burt at 703-321-3339 or email (BJohns@cox.net) for directions and any questions.

Mannaheim has consciously chosen a tribal model for its organization, formed of smaller, mostly autonomous families  and individuals that work together toward common goals. Our priorities continue to focus on family, community, and personal growth; this extends through ritual, gatherings, and all other activities.

Mannaheim affairs are managed through an advisory panel, what we choose to call a Tribal Council. The Council, initially established in August 2006, consists entirely of accepted Mannaheim members, and is an extension of the Board of Directors.
